Meet the Team

  • Byron Knapp

    As a SoCal native, Byron grew up surfing, triathlon and obstacle course racing. Training has more recently been focused on MMA/BJJ and all things tactical, with a goal to bring it all together with Deep End Fitness. Byron wants to build a team and community that is supportive and accountable to themselves and others so that we can all reach our highest potential in all facets of life.

  • Guillermo Diaz III

    Guillermo “Memo” Diaz III, Navy Veteran with a career working in IT. Passionate in supporting veterans transitioning from service into the work force. Strives to push limits, recently through a handful of Ultra Marathons and an IronMan Triathlon. Driven to help others break barriers and find their transformation using endurance, technique, and structure in the water as the solution.

  • Connor Hack

    Connor Hack, a college senior, and Air Force officer candidate, epitomizes personal transformation and service. Once a self-described "fat homeschool kid," he embraced a dramatic change through military discipline since joining in 2020, falling in love with fitness and martial arts. Having endured the demanding Air Force Combat Rescue selection while pursuing his career in pararescue, Connor is now fiercely dedicated to guiding others toward their pinnacle of excellence, inspiring them to be their ultimate selves through the power of persistence and discipline.

  • David Kroll

    David is a retired Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue Swimmer. During his 24 year career he had many opportunities to instruct in both the open water and pool environment. Assignments included the Rescue Swimmer Standardization Team, Advanced Helicopter Rescue School, and Aviation Technical Training Center where he spent hundreds of hours training up the next generation of Rescue Swimmers. His passions include spending time with family, theology, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, eating amazing food, and using his military experience to help others not only meet but exceed their training goals in the water environment.
