Lauren Murphy grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and began training in martial arts in 2009. She is a two time jiu jitsu world champion, has won three professional titles in MMA, has earned fight of the night honors in the UFC, competed for the UFC World Title, and been ranked in the top ten for several years. During her UFC career, she saw the athletic performance advantages Deep End Fitness had to offer, and jumped at the chance to bring the program to Houston.

Lauren loves working with people and is very excited to bring the benefits of deep water training to the Houston community. 

Diego Jaime grew up as a Houston, Texas native who right out of high school enlisted into the United States Navy. Where he earned the title of Navy Corpsman with multiple deployments while working with several amphibious communities such as, Victory Unit 1st battalion 6th Marines, the Dive/Med Tech community and the Marine Reconnaissance communities in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Where he served in the operational and medical subject matter expert roles overseas and CONUS.

He began training in martial arts as a young kid in Mexico where his admiration for combat sports took him on a journey to dive deep into the warrior’s world of mixed martial arts where he earned a brown belt in Japanese Ju Jutsu and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. During his naval career, he was able to be a part of and participate in the old school, and at the time still underground community of what is now known as the Under Water Torpedo League and Deep End Fitness. Where he experienced the mental and physical benefits of combining in and out of water training.

Diego is an intrapreneur who in combination with his military and civilian medical background coupled with the love of service to his country, will make him out to be a force multiplier in any arena with the Deep End Fitness and Houston communities.
